Let your light shine

December 14th, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Today we have a mini update with new Christmas stuff, to help illuminate those dark winter nights! :)

There are 8 new objects to go along with all the other Christmas stuff we have. New this year are animated light chains, brass/wrought iron candlesticks, Nordic candlesticks and glittering red and white table stars. A top tip is to place them on counters or the small festive tables.

When you 3D print these new items, you can actually print both colors from either one of the objects. For example, buy a brass candlestick, scan it, and choose if you want to print the brass or the wrought iron one.

Happy holidays!

Turkey Time

November 24th, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The Thanksgiving store has some new goodies to help you get in the mood!

There’s a little banner made out of burlap and autumn leaves. The decorational turkeys are 100% plastic so no feeding is required…

Get in the Thanksgiving mood by crafting your own plastic turkeys

The little black turkey is available in the Thanksgiving store. It can be scanned and printed, to get different colors and sizes.
Try to find all the variations and you will earn a shiny new badge too.

Make sure to stock up on black turkeys for your store, they are only guaranteed to be available while the Thanksgiving store is up!

Some counter action going on

The small turkeys and the cornucopia can be placed on counters and the little white festive tables.

Thank you all for playing and for all your support during the past year. :)

Working as a team!

November 2nd, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Today we have the pleasure of introducing a new feature in Tirnua.
This is something we have wanted to have for a long time, but it hasn’t been possible to implement with our old system. Now after the server upgrades, new Flash versions and some core changes to the game, here it is:

You can now get extra benefits for working together in the game!

Exercising together

The first object we created is the Exercise Coordinator.

It’s really easy to use.
You hook it up to a battery and turn it on. It immediately starts scanning for people walking on treadmills.

For every person it finds, it will add a little efficiency.
So the more people are walking together in the same room, the more energy everyone will be generating!

The Basic Black Exercise Coordinator

So, how much will it increase your output?
This depends on what type of “Excoord” you have.
The basic black is the only one you can buy in the Tirnua VIP store.

With the Basic Black, the efficiency increase levels out after 3 players.

For example:

When you turn it on - 100%
1 person starts walking - 104%
2 people start walking - 107%
3 people start walking - 110%
4 people - 110%
5 people - 110%
6 people - 110% and so on

That is how much it increases the energy you would have gotten without the Excoord.

Rare versions - and new badges!

3D printing time! Residents can scan the basic black Exercise Coordinator with a 3D scanner, and print it with a 3D printer. If you try for a rare, you can get the other versions.

The rarest ones are very exclusive (i.e. prepare to empty all of your windmills, just saying). :)

New badge

There is also a new badge for printing all the rare ones.

Rare version statistics

The rare versions will increase the energy output more and take more players into account.

It goes like this (at time of release):

Black - levels out after 3 players
Red - levels out after 5 players
Blue - levels out after 6 players
Sparkly Pink - levels out after 9 players
Classy Wood - levels out after 12 players

The increase is also higher per player for the better versions. If you have one of the rarest versions and a bunch of friends to come over, you can really churn out that energy!

Roommates only

We want hosting to be a thing. You need to be a roommate to start the excoord.

The roommate doesn’t have to stay in the room forever though. If that roommate leaves, the excoord still keeps running. It will stop when everyone has left the room.

There is a permission setting. We recommend changing it to “Only me” or “Me and roommates”.
Without the setting everyone will be able to disconnect the battery and stop the Excoord, which could be fairly annoying.

Related bug fixes

  • It’s now easier to see how much energy you are creating. The floating flash display has been cleared up.

We’d love to hear your feedback! :)

See you at the party,

Thirteen creepy things

October 21st, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Halloween is almost upon us. To help you decorate for this holiday, we just added thirteen spooktacular new objects!

Drape the dusty spiderwebs over your walls…

Cook up your own witches brew in the bubbling cauldron…

Start your own pumpkin patch in the back yard with the new smaller pumpkins, mixed with the old ones.

Use the 4 new tombstones to add some diversity to your creepy graveyard.

There’s also a spooky dead tree and some coffins, and a shovel to complete your graveyard theme.

If you’re looking to create a Halloween themed seating area, we have a new couch - entirely made of skulls and bones…

Happy Halloween! :)

Upgrades and Treadmills

April 30th, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Here’s a small team update to let you know what we’ve been working on.

You might have seen early morning server restarts and developers running around testing things. We have been bringing the game up to date. There’s still a lot to be done, but we are now using the latest versions of Flash sdk and new server software. This is one of the vital steps for the game to be brought up to date with today’s standards.

Most of this won’t be noticeable by players. But if you are running a very old version of Flash, you might get prompted to update that when you login. If that happens, all you need to do is download the latest flash version for your computer using the link that will show up.

Recyclable treadmills

No more overloading your inventory when you’re trying to print rare treadmills! You can now recycle your unwanted “not-so-rare” treadmills. We made the red and blue treadmills recyclable but still kept the others the way they are to avoid anyone recycling a pink or classy one by mistake.

You get a little more metal and a little less trash from recycling them, than you would from the regular treads.

Let’s get printing those treads :)

New login gifts for Easter

April 3rd, 2015 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

This year’s easter eggs are here. You can grab these as a login gift if you enter the game during the Easter holiday!

Everyone gets the green egg, and residents get both of them!

Logging in during the holiday week will be the only way to get these eggs.

As usual you get random things from them - it can be a boost to your EMP capacities, a little bit of money or something to pretty up your lot for spring.

The Easter store is up - if you missed out on this earlier, you now have a new chance to finish your Easter badges and print the Easter Mystery box.

This has been explained in more detail in the previous Easter blogs

  • Easter Eggs and Mystery boxes
  • The Grand Easter Egg Hunt
  • We’ve also done some bugfixes to issues that occurred alongside our recent server updates.
You should have seen fixes to EMP, teleporters and trades. Thanks all for the help reporting.

Have a great Easter holiday! :)

    Easter Eggs and Mystery Boxes!

April 13th, 2014 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

The Easter store is open and now everyone has a chance to get those Easter egg badges again!

Grab yourself some eggs in the Easter store, open them and see what you can find inside.
Try to find all the eggs in the easter badges while the event lasts!

Remember, for the eggs to register in the badges you need to “find” them inside other eggs.

Common eggs can contain Uncommon eggs, and Uncommon eggs can contain Rare eggs. To get the Epic egg and Faberge egg, look inside the Rare ones. Some of the eggs even contain cash, chocolate and other goodies. Good luck! :)

A new Mystery box full of new Easter items!

We also have some brand new easter stuff being released today. There are six new items released, and the only way for you to find out what they are, is to print them on your 3D printer.

    That’s right - there’s another Mystery Box!

See if you can find all the super cute Easter items. Two of them will also register in your Mystery box badges.

Here’s how you get your hands on those new Easter items:

Buy the new Mystery box in the store, it’s Mystery Box 4 and has a yellow label. It’s in the Easter store and the Featured store.
Pop it in your scanner and scan it onto a DVD.

Then print the box using your 3D printer.

The box contains the blueprints to 6 different objects, or 7 objects if you count the small chance of getting another Mystery box when you’re printing. If you find the Easter bunny or the animated Cracking egg, those will also register in the Mystery box badges.

    Psst… Store owners

Since the new Easter objects won’t be released in the TirNua store, the only way to get them is if someone has printed them from the mystery boxes. They will probably start turning up in player stores as people start printing them, so everyone can buy them from others and use them to decorate your lots.

    Happy Easter!

Badges, Gardening and new Lot Highscores!

August 7th, 2013 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

We know you’ve been waiting impatiently for a new update - here it is! :)
These four flowerpots are now available in the Gardening store and Featured store - and they will give you access to a grand total of 27 new pots if you scan them and print with your 3D printers.

Buy one of each, pop them in your 3D scanner and try your luck printing them. Here is a preview of just some of all the new flower pots you can print!

Huge garden urns in gold, silver, bronze and marble - these work for all ground plants except the strawberries, corn, daffodils and such bigger plants. The Gold one is the rarest one and it might take you a while to get them all!

Just a few of the round pots - you can print a total of 10 different pots from the striped round pot we released earlier. The ones pictured here are the Terracotta, Aged Terracotta, Blue Porcelain and Bamboo pots. See which other pots you can discover by printing the pot and trying for a rare!

Note: These pots used to be unscannable and have now been updated. That means you may need to purchase a new updated striped pot to be able to scan it.

It doesn’t end here, there are also 10 cool square pots to try for. You start from the Yellow square pot. This picture only shows one of the cylindrical ones but there are a total of 4 to try for, starting from the Terracotta.

We also have a bunch of new badges you can start working on! There are badges for each of the new pots that have been released.

Good luck and have fun printing!

Work in progress: New lot scores!

The perceptive among you have already noticed there is a new lot highscore in the works! We are still testing and working out the details of this, so there will be more information about it later. Can you already figure out what the score does?

Have fun printing and gardening and keep an eye out for further changes to the lot scores! :)

    Indoor Gardening and Scarecrow Zero

June 12th, 2013 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Calling all decorators out there. :)

You can now grow ground flowers in these decorative striped pots!
Nothing like a pot of fresh flowers from the garden to brighten up your room. You can even replant coffee trees in these and grow them inside.

To use this: Grow the flowers on regular dirt and move them into the pots by dragging and dropping.

The pots work for most of the ground flowers - orchid, gladiolus, geranium, coffee, all the decorative bushes and so on. There are some that we haven’t enabled due to the size, for example

  • Strawberries
  • Corn
  • Daffodils
  • So for those plants you will still need to grow them outside on regular plots.

Avoid dragging the flower pots over each other when there is a flower already inside. If you have done that and re-enter the lot, the flower can drop down a notch. Just move the pot and it will correct itself and stay that way.

Here it is - the Scarecrow Zero!

Birds only fall on polluted lots, and as you know you can attract even more dirty birds to your polluted lot with the Luxury Feeder. We decided to go ahead and make a Scarecrow Zero too.

If your lot is polluted but you still don’t want to slip on those rubber gloves and get down to business cleaning the gulls, you can get this super efficient scarecrow to scare them off to go bother some neighbor instead.

The regular versions of these are still available too, if you just want to increase or decrease the number of birds you get. The feeders and scarecrows are not needed on clean lots as those are naturally bird free.

    Enjoy :)
