Pretty Up Your Garden for Earth Day

April 22nd, 2013 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

Happy Earth day everyone!

It’s that time of year again… The time when we all reproduce our Maple Trees and decorate our TirNua gardens. The world celebrates Earth Day on Monday the 22nd of April.

In honor of Earth Day, the fruit prices at the Farmer’s Market are soaring!

All regular oranges, apples and bananas pay out 50% more this week! Instead of the regular 144 tau, you get a whopping 216 tau per pallet of fruit starting today. This only applies to regular oranges, apples and bananas. Bring your stash and jump to the Farmer’s market by clicking  >> HERE << .

If you don’t have fruit to sell during this time, maybe you should get to planting a few trees?

The prices will stay up there until next weekend!

New Animated Fountains

This week we have new fountains you can use to pretty up your garden. You have a choice of three different colors - red, white and yellow - which one tickles your tastebuds? :)

These fountains all take up one square on your lot. They are animated and sure to get you in the mood for some serious landscape architecture! :)

Show us the Gardens you create!

We would love to see the gardens you create in the game. Take a snapshot and link it in the blog comments or add to our Facebook page - we will highlight our favorite for everyone to see. If we highlight your picture, you get to pick one of these three fountains as a reward. :)

They are also for sale in the Featured store now!

Old Flowers make a Comeback

We added the old flowers back to the Gardening store this week. They will be available for a short time. Grab a few fresh flowers if you are working on the Mutant badges.
That way you can be sure the flower DNA isn’t mixed up with DNA from the Legacy flowers - we have found that this DNA can sometimes interfere with the cultivation of new mutants.

Enjoy your weekend and Earth Day!

New Feature - the Mystery Boxes!

April 14th, 2013 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

This Mystery box just arrived at the TirNua headquarters.

We examined it, turned it upside down, hit it with a hammer, beat it with a shoe, tried to open it as best we could, but we just couldn’t get it to open up. It looks like there are some blueprints inside, and they appear to be meant for the 3D Scanners!

To get the goodies, you are just going to have to put the whole thing in your 3D scanner and scan these blueprints onto a dvd.

Here’s how you do it!

Buy yourself a Mystery Box in the Featured store…

Place it in your scanner and scan it onto a dvd.

Pop the dvd into your 3D Printer and it will automatically detect the blueprints placed inside!

You have a chance of printing out some brand new items that you can’t get in any other way.

There could even be some surprises…

Spoiler Alert!

This stylish furniture set can only be obtained by printing the blueprints out of this week’s Mystery Box. :)

New Way to do Badges

As you can see in the Badges section on your persona web, there are some printing badges to go along with the Mystery Box.

This is a whole new way for us to do badges. In the past you have known exactly what you are going to need to achieve a printing badge, and you could get everything immediately.

This has changed!

As you can see, there are two different badges.

One is the regular and one is the Super badge! The regular is going to be easy to get and the Super a little bit harder. This week’s Mystery Box contains the blueprints for both these badge items.

What are the question marks?

Boxes we haven’t released yet!

Stay tuned and make sure you don’t miss any of them - we will be releasing new boxes every now and then when they are delivered to the TirNua office. ;)

New badges for Rare Apple and Banana Trees

We also have new badges to grow all the newer rare trees. Let’s get to planting those trees!

Have fun! :)

Work That Body… and the 3D Printer

April 8th, 2013 by TirNua Anna Leave a comment Share on Facebook

New printable objects this week - including a new Super rare treadmill!

If you’re tired of the pink treadmills in your gym, now you can upgrade to a super Classy Treadmill! With its luxurious polished hardwood details, it’s an elegant addition to any gym.

You can get this treadmill by scanning a black treadmill and trying for a rare. It’s slightly more efficient than the pink.

Remind me - how do I print rare objects?

Scan a regular version of the item using a 3D scanner. Pop the dvd into a 3D printer and select “Try for a rare”! Rare versions can be better than the regular, and successfully printing a rare gives you a badge.

Automated Electric Machines - now in Black and Green

You can use the green one to store clean energy and the black one to store dirty energy made with a boiler, for example. With the new colors you can keep the different energy qualities separate. Or maybe you just prefer the look of one of them and it fits better with your decor!

These are rare versions that you print from the regular version, so they are also not for sale in the store.

Remind me… Does energy have carbon footprint?

In TirNua every item has a carbon footprint, that reflects the impact manufacturing this object has had on the environment. And yes, energy also has a carbon footprint. It can be high if you made the energy in a way that harms the environment, or low if you made it in a sustainable way.

When you use that energy it will often affect the objects it comes into contact with and increase or decrease their cfp. It also carries over into the objects that you produce with the 3D printer.

Rare Pet Beds

The third rare item you can print this week is the Pet Beds in Aqua, Fuego, Spirit, Terra and Flora. These match the other furniture in those collections and make it easier to decorate your room in a particular style or color.

These cost less energy to print and just use fabric so they are easy to try for in your spare time!

Badges for printing them

Get ahead of your competition on that Designer highscore list! There are new badges for all three of these.

The Glass Megabin is here!

It’s the last bin we will release at the moment. You can find all of them under Miscellaneous in the TirNua store. These huge bins have room for up to 5850 units in the biggest one.

To use these megabins to store all your resources, place the resources in your inventory and the megabin on the ground. Click the megabin to “Add Max” or “Add Some”.

The megabin will add the resources you have in inventory, and you will be left with the empty small bins. Take those out and get rid of them and enjoy having less clutter to carry around!

You can also easily extract as many of the components as you like.

Components you extract first try to go to a bin on the ground that you own. Then they try to go to your inventory.

Sell your rare Apples to the Farmer’s Market

The apple carts are here! To go to the Market to sell your stock of rare apples, click here to jump over there, or search for TirNua Farmer’s Market.

There are player carts for sale in the Featured store too. You can buy them and start your own market to buy other people’s fruit and veggies.
